Anne Freed

  • Bio

Anne’s passion for design began at the ripe age of 6. She would spend hours drawing child-like floor plans. She knew at that age that design would be her life’s career.
Anne attended Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Northern Ill University and Colorado Institute of Art (aka Art Institute of Colorado). She received her Associates Degree in Interior Design in 1983, and began designing Kitchens and Baths right out of school. Anne received her CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) accreditation in 1995.
Anne has designed hundreds of kitchens, baths, bars, offices, media centers and closets of all sizes and with all different budgets in mind.
Anne left the industry, for a short time, to have her own business in the dog and cat world. When she decide to return to the design world, she knew that Caruso Kitchens was the only place she would go back to. She returned with the desire to emphasize Universal Design; designing the spaces to function for all who use those spaces, and Aging in Place.
Anne loves to cook and has remodeled two of her own kitchens. She believes that is the best education a designer can get: to do for oneself what you do for others.
